It’s Friday, Friday…

As much as I hate that Rebecca Black song, and I mean…HATE, you’re lying if you say you’ve never at least hummed the beginning of that chorus in your head on a Friday morning.

So anyway, it’s Friday and as always, there’s lots to be thankful for.  Let’s jump in, below are my five things this week.

This Coffee

My Costco sized Folgers tub ran out the other week.  By the time that happens, I’m always a little “Folgered-out”, so I like to mix it up and buy something different for awhile.  While I was checking out at T.J. Maxx the other day, I saw this nummy looking coffee so I decided to give it a try.  Nonalcoholic of course.

Pair it with my SO Delicious Hazelnut Creamer, and that’s a thumbs up emoji sign right there.  A coffee grinder recently appeared in our apt {thanks, Andrew}, so I think I’m going to start shopping for good coffee beans that I can grind on my own.  Open to suggestions here, people.

Run Club Visitors

Run Club starts at 6:30 on Wednesdays.  About 5:30 pm this past week I got a phone call I didn’t expect…Jimmy wanted to come!  As usual it was a hawt and sveaty run, and Jimmy got through it like a champ.  It always ends in front of the NODA Brewery, so he, my brother, and I decided to stay and hang out for a little bit once we were done running.  It was the perfect way to end a Wednesday, and hopefully it becomes a usual thing for the three of us!

Build Your Own TJ’s Trail Mix

Whenever I’m craving something salty and crunchy {which, let’s be honest, is basically all the time}, to avoid grabbing chips or something else that’s not so great for me, I try to get creative with some type of trail mix.  About a month ago, I noticed these Thai Lime & Chili Almonds…

They are sweet, spicy, salty…all of the above.  Literally, all I do is buy these almonds and this bag of dried mango, cranberries, and blueberries and mix them together.  There’s so much flavor here, it’s the perfect go to snack.

My Shipments

This picture says it all.  My foam roller finally got here {I shall be sore no more!}, and I ordered the first cookbook by the PaleOMG writer, Juli Bauer.  She just recently released a new book, The Paleo Kitchen, that I’m interested in purchasing, but I wanted to give this one a run first.

Schedule Change

Work is going a-okay these days, and it got even better yesterday when I learned about my new schedule.  Currently I work 2-11 M-F {Wednesdays off} and Saturday 12-9 pm {Sundays off}.  Yea, yea, not the most glamorous of schedules, but it hasn’t been half bad so far.  The only down side is the long commute I have at the end of the day, basically in the middle of the night.  My new schedule has been adjusted by an hour, so now I work 1-10 M-F {Wednesdays off} and Saturday 11:30-9:30 pm {Sundays off}.  It might not seem like that big of a deal, but being able to get home an hour earlier is going to make a world of difference.  It’s still not the most perfect schedule, but I’ll take it!

That’s enough about me, what about you guys?

What are you thankful for this week?  Happy Friday!
