Happy October!  New month, new start, new you!  I can’t believe that it’s already October, where has this year gone?  I feel like we’re going to blink and it’ll be Christmas.  It just reminds me to take one day at a time and enjoy every moment.

So, it’s Wednesday morning and I’ve got another RPM Spin Class in the books {almost used to that seat again}.  Today I wanted to share this ab workout that I’ve been doing lately.  I used to love working abs, but for whatever reason I’ve been getting really bored with it these days.  To beat the boredom, I came up with this workout that uses three different pieces of equipment:  a Stability Ball, a dumbbell {I use a 5lb DB}, and a weighted plate {I use a 10lb plate}.

Even though I’ve done a decent job of working out, I sit ALL DAY, aka- gravity is working against me.  I really like this workout because it focuses on the lower half of your abs.

For the Figure 8’s, I sit in the “V” position, and pass the dumbbell between my legs {legs like a bicycle crunch}, drawing an imaginary figure 8 line…make sense?  I couldn’t find what this was called, but Figure 8 sounds right.

Give it a try and let me know what you think!  Work that pooch!

What are some of your favorite abdominal workouts?
